Patent Engineer

As is necessary in the IP field, Liudmyla has two Post-Graduate Degrees, one technical and the other in IP Law. In 1977 she earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Ukraine). In 1980 she moved into the IP field and earned a degree in Patent Law from the Kyiv Public Institute of Patent Law. Deciding to further her education, in 1987 she graduated from the Central Institute for Advanced Training of Patent Experts in Moscow. Her extensive and diverse background allows her to bring together the roles of both Patent Engineer and Mechanical Engineer.

Before joining B&Co. Liudmyla was a leading specialist in the Patent Department at the world-renowned Paton Institute of Welding of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

As a Patent Engineer, she focuses on inventions in the fields of engineering technologies, welding technologies and chemistry.

Liudmyla has worked in the field of Intellectual Property Rights since 1977 and has compiled applications for inventions, trademarks and industrial designs as well as conducting patent searches.

She actively participated in the development and amendment of the Ukrainian legislation in the field of Industrial Property and in 1992 was a presenter at the Protection and Commercialisation of Industrial Property conference in Moscow.
